Just testing you to see if you ever check this or not......

a few things

I bought sweet potatoes, ok, they called them yams, at 360 and they were worth every penny I spent. Actually, they weren't all that bad, price wise, and so yummy! I also treated myself to a trip to HMV while I was at Elements and bought some new movies for the kids and myself. The most frugal choice? No? Worth it? Again, YES.

We are officially Hong Kongers now because we are apartment hunting. Yes, we have to leave our wonderful flat and find a new home. I'm so incredibly sad, but hey, it can't be helped. It's all tied to school decisions, uncooperative management companies, work costs....you know how that happens. Anyway, I will let you know where we land.

I will have three children in YCIS in the fall. Well, we have no official word, but she took the test and they are working out assistance, and they want westerners, so she's in.

I miss you terribly. I also miss peanut butter and chocolate. I do miss you more though, and that my friend, is love. Post already, will ya?

Chinese New Year

Just like years past, our local park had a flower fair/market for CNY, and can I just say, it's the biggest pain in the behind ever? The buses were all re-routed, when we did catch one, they were always full and we could never get a seat, the sidewalks were all fenced off, forcing everyone to cross in one or two spots, the playground equipment was roped off so no one could use it, people EVERYWHERE...for crying out loud.

Ahhh, I feel better now. Thanks.

We spent CNY Eve with the Lo family, eating Hot Pot. I ate with chopsticks for the whole meal and have the hand cramp to prove it. I am so not proficient with those things yet. I also ate squid balls, which were gross and thousand year old eggs, which were grosser. There were many other things to try, but to list them would make me queasy.
